• First 1800 Gold Wing motorcycle

• Extruded aluminum frame

Introduced in 1974, the Honda Gold Wing has become the world-class touring motorcycle, popular in North America, Western Europe and Australia. Originally a 999-cc flat-four, its engine was upgraded in several evolutions, most significantly in 1988 when a 1,520-cc flat-six was introduced. An innovative reverse gear was added, using the starter motor for power, attractive to many customers who found it difficult to maneuver backwards.

In 2001, a new model Gold Wing was introduced, with an extruded aluminum frame. This reduced weight markedly, and a 1,832-cc engine further improved performance. The engine was fuel injected, and anti-lock brakes were made available as an option.

Showing just 9,800 miles, this 2001 Gold Wing is in excellent condition. Attractive in brilliant yellow, it is fully equipped with Lexan windscreen, and built-in radio and intercom system. For effortless, comfortable touring, the Honda Gold Wing is hard to beat. This very nice example has many miles to offer a new owner.
