The Ducati Americano was an attempt to design a motorcycle for the American market, using styling cues more familiar to Harley-Davidson riders. Buyers were offered valanced mudguards, crash bars, high pull-back handlebars, twin air horns, a dual seat, with studded trim and a handle for the passenger, and the over-the-top dual mufflers from the 175 Sport. All this was wrapped around the excellent 175-cc SOHC engine. This model is a rare find, and good Americanos are even harder to find these days. This example is an older restoration finished in blue and silver paint with very good paint and chrome.
