Stanley Wanlass is widely regarded as the modern-day Frederick Remington. As renowned for his heroic historical monuments as for his automotive bronze sculptures, Wanlass created this magnificent tribute to America's pioneering spirit in a limited edition of just 30 signed and numbered examples.
New York to Paris is a massive, finely detailed bronze sculpture that depicts the legendary Thomas Flyer automobile and its crew winning the fabled 13,000-mile “Great Race” of 1907, which took place between New York and Paris. They were priced at an impressive $27,500 each in 1982, and the entire edition sold out in just 11 months, principally to museums and major private and institutional collections.
