  • A one-off Mustang originally sold to benefit the Henry Ford Health System
  • Currently showing just 38.5 miles

444 bhp, 302 cu. in. DOHC V-8 engine, six-speed manual transmission, front and rear suspension with coil springs, adjustable shocks, and anti-roll bars with a live rear axle, and four-wheel ventilated disc brakes. Wheelbase: 107.1 in.

This 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca was specially designed by Ford designer Melvin Betancourt as a modern interpretation of Parnelli Jones’ race-winning 1970 Mustang Boss 302. Following his diagnosis with an aortic dissection and subsequent treatment by cardiovascular specialists at the Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Betancourt was looking for a way to give back to the organization which had saved his life.

Betancourt commissioned this one-of-a-kind Mustang, which was completely built and customized by the Mustang assembly plant in Flat Rock, Michigan. It was then auctioned at the Ford Motor Company’s Get Your Heart Racing charity event, with its proceeds fully benefitting the Henry Ford Health System, on October 15, 2011. This Mustang is outfitted with numerous custom touches that differentiate it from other Boss 302 Laguna Secas, such as its beautiful finish in School Bus Yellow and its painted black “hockey-stick” stripes and Jones’ racing number, 15, on both the hood and doors, which perfectly mimics the livery of its older brother.

The car, which currently shows just 38.5 miles on its odometer, was purchased by Mr. Pack from the benefit event, and it has been stored in his collection ever since. This very special Boss 302 would be ideal for the Mustang enthusiast looking for a unique car with an incredible and touching story.
