This unrestored 1966 Volkswagen Type 1 with 52,000 original miles features the 1,600-cc engine and four-speed transmission. The 1966 Volkswagen Type 1 is a transitional model that featured a wide array of comfort and safety improvements including an air vent for improved windshield defrosting and the dimmer switch incorporated into the turn signal lever. With the exception of this being a sedan without a fabric sunroof, the custom striping and decals mimic Herbie the Love Bug introduced in the 1968 motion picture The Love Bug produced by Walt Disney Studios, the first of six films and a five installment television series featuring this character.
