Specifications: 249 cc SOHC single, four speeds.

The 250 Diana was the first sporting 250 model every young man wanted in 1961. Derived from the successful F3, most had racy clip-on handlebars, handsome new styling and a crackling exhaust note. Weighing only 265 pounds, the 24-horsepower Diana (called Daytona in England) was capable of around 85 mph, with handling to match. It eventually evolved into the 30-horsepower Mark 3 Super Sport and gained a five-speed transmission in 1964. This early example on offer here is believed to be a Diana but is of an atypical configuration, akin to the sister model Monza, with high bars and a single seat. It was the subject of a thorough restoration and is finished in black and grey with excellent chrome.
