250 hp, 283 cu. in. fuel-injected V-8 engine, three-speed manual transmission, coil spring front and leaf spring rear suspension, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 102 in.

In 1956, Chevrolet introduced a restyled Corvette that was a complete departure from earlier models. The new Corvettes gave the American sports car an identity that was much more sporting. Fast, sleek, and extremely clean in their appearance, the 1956 and 1957 models generally draw the most attention at shows and events nationwide and are recognized by collectors as benchmark years for Corvette styling.

By 1957, Corvettes were offered in many configurations. Now more than ever, customers had the daunting task of weighing all the options and choosing the right car. The 283-cubic inch power plant was available with two different fuel injection options and two different four-barrel carburetors. Furthermore, the appearance, though not greatly altered from the 1956 models, was improved with added colors and power options. Despite the addition of a few creature comforts, it was true to the Corvette ideal in every way.

The Corvette offered here is fitted with the rare and desirable fuel-injected engine. Of the 6,339 Corvettes produced for 1957, this is one of the mere 102 units with the Code CK 283 fuel-injected V-8 rated at 250 horsepower. It has been exquisitely restored to the last detail, and the odometer indicates that it has only been driven 27 miles since completion. Under the hood, the engine, manifolds, and all other painted surfaces appear to be factory correct. The hoses, clamps, belts, and hardware are also “on the money.” The body and panel fit appear to be at least as good as when new, and the top, upholstery, and carpeting are also proper and well fitted. Other features include the Trico-supplied windshield washer system, a signal-seeking Wonderbar AM radio, bias-ply wide whitewall tires, and stainless spinner hubcaps. From the restored gauges and undercarriage to the fantastic stainless, chrome, and glass, this Corvette offers no disappointments.
