Edsel aficionados believe that less than 6,000 of the 110,847 Edsels produced have survived. It has been further estimated by other sources that less than 25 of the 1,343 1959 Corsair convertibles have survived. The Edsel brand has experienced growing resurgence among collectors in recent years. As one of the surviving few, this attractive President Red and Snow White example sports the following features: a three-speed automatic transmission, a 2.91:1 rear axle, power steering, power brakes, and a power convertible top. The VIN confirms that this Corsair convertible was originally equipped with the 361 engine and that it was built in Louisville, Kentucky. The data plate further verifies the exterior colors and a production date of February 25, 1959. It runs, looks, and drives like a dream. While showing some signs of age and normal use, this attractive Edsel will be fun to drive, show, and enjoy.
