79 hp, 206.8 cu. in. overhead valve inline six-cylinder engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, semi-floating rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 113 in.

Compared to the top competitor, Ford, very few 1936 Chevrolets become available in today’s collector car market. Ford produced 791,000 units, while Chevrolet built nearly one million. Chevrolet introduced hydraulic brakes in 1936, as seen on this coupe. It is believed that the odometer reading of 20,459 is correct and that it was re-painted more than 30 years ago. The metallic silver closely replicates the original taupe when new, and today, it still presents very nicely on a very straight body. Chrome and bright trim are starting to show light patina from age. The upholstery was finished in tan cord, while a rubber mat still covers the floor. Dash paint and all other components appear original and unrestored. A correct inline six-cylinder engine with a two-barrel carburetor provides power to the three-speed transmission, as per factory specification. The drivetrain is stock in appearance with few maintenance alterations. Following a very high quality restoration several years ago, this ’36 Chevrolet continues to show all the signs of proper upkeep and preservation.
