  • Exceptionally well optioned

Presented in as-new condition, this is one of finest Ferrari 458 Speciale Apertas available. Having barely been driven beyond factory testing, with less than 200 miles showing on its odometer, the car remains in flawless condition. Finished in Rosso Corsa with black racing stripes over a matching Nero Alcantara interior, the 458 is equipped with abundant options. These include brake calipers in Rosso with carbon fiber wheel caps, the outer B-pillars finished in carbon fiber, the desirable telemetry kit, front suspension lifter, heat-insulated windscreen, headliner trimmed in Alcantara, Alcantara wheel arches, front air vents in carbon fiber, cruise control, the Cavallino Rampante stitched on the headrests, as well as over $23,000 in “other options.”

The sum of these options brought this Aperta’s MSRP to $385,153, with over $60,000 in extras. This was one of the most sought-after Ferraris ever produced and the most desirable model in the 458 Italia family. It is no wonder the car is so lavishly equipped. Introduced into the Ferrari line-up in 2014, only 499 were built and all were earmarked for Ferrari’s preferred clients.

Save for its roof, the Speciale A is near identical to the track-ready 458 Speciale. Thanks to prolific use of carbon fiber and attention to detail in weight savings, the Speciale A only adds 110 lbs. to its curb weight over the fixed head version. Furthermore, its aluminum retractable hardtop takes only 14 seconds to deploy or retract at the push of a button. Performance remains largely the same thanks to the car’s active aerodynamics, and it can sprint from 0–62 mph in three seconds and has a top speed of a tick below 200 mph.

Combining the sheer performance of the 458 Speciale with the top-down motoring experience of the 458 Spider, the 458 Speciale Aperta provided perhaps the best of both worlds to its lucky owners. Should one have missed their opportunity to buy one of these tremendously special automobiles when first released, this example offers one last chance to buy that brand new Ferrari.
