Addendum: Please note that since going to print, RM has uncovered additional evidence to support Derek Bell’s ownership of this car. In a printed interview with The Telegraph in 2002, he asserts that the 275 GTB/4 was the best car he ever owned. His comments regarding his car’s later re-sale and price realized in the United States further corroborate the longstanding belief that chassis 10813 was indeed the car owned by the famed Le Mans winner.
