Introduced during the Great Depression, the Junior Scout offered cash-strapped motorcyclists with the chance to purchase ‘a real twin-cylinder machine at the lowest price in American history’. Essentially a 500 V-twin engine in a lightweight Prince 350 frame, the Junior Scout was nearly 100 pounds lighter than the next heaviest Indian at the time.

Incredibly hardy and easy to manoeuvre, even while off, the Junior Scout handily outperformed its competitors. Offered here is a stunning example of the Junior Scout, presented in the glossy Seafoam Blue colour made popular in 1940.
